Whenever a major outer planet moves into a new constellation - and a new sign - in our solar system, it's always big news, for it heralds an exciting new influence that is about to begin. The world is seeing this situation now, since Uranus, planet of surprise and sudden action, has just recently moved into Aries on March 11, 2011, for the first time in decades.
Uranus is called "the great awakener" because this planet is known to bring lightning-quick flashes of insight along with very rapid change. This is the planet of rebellion and also the ruler of all things quirky, idiosyncratic, and just plain unreal. People with strong Uranus in their natal charts are pathfinders, courageously venturing into new realms. They often do the exact opposite of what everyone tells them to do. You might want to have a look at the Timeline assembled for you to see all the wonderful inventions that came into being the last time Uranus was in Aries.
